Bei dem hier mit einer Klarinette aufgeführtem Werk handelt es sich um einen Augmentationskanon besonderer Art: Man erhält die jeweils zweite und dritte Stimme, indem die Aufnahme der ersten Stimme langsamer abgespielt wird. Die zweite Stimme ist langsamer und erklingt tiefer als die erste und die dritte Stimme ist wiederum langsamer und erklingt tiefer als die zweite. Es wurde nur die Aufführung der ersten Stimme aufgezeichnet. Die zweite und dritte Stimme ist eine Kopie in jeweils unterschiedlichem Zeitlupentempo der ersten. Eine weitere Besonderheit des Kanons ist, dass die Melodie in jeder Stimme so oft wiederholt wird, bis alle Stimmen gemeinsam enden. Die Melodie wurde mit Hilfe eines Optimierungsalgorithmus so gebildet, dass das harmonische Zusammenspiel der Stimmen an jeder Stelle sinnvoll ist. Der Duktus der Musik soll an polyphone Renaissance-Musik erinnern, konterkariert diese aber insofern, als all die hier geltenden Randbedingungen der musikalischen Form schwerlich durch ein Komponieren von Hand erfüllt werden könnten. Tempo und Phasenverschiebungen der einzelnen Stimmen können auch durch das mitverwendete Metronom wahrgenommen werden. Es dient hier zudem als eine Art Rhythmusinstrument. Das der Musik hinzugefügte Video zeigt in verfremdeter Weise eine verregnete Straßenkreuzung.

The work performed here with a clarinet is an augmentation canon of a special kind: The second and third voices are obtained by playing the recording of the first voice more slowly. The second voice is slower and sounds lower than the first, and the third voice is again slower and sounds lower than the second. Only the performance of the first voice was recorded. The second and third voices are a copy in each case at a different slow motion tempo of the first. Another feature of the canon is that the melody is repeated in each voice until all voices end together. The melody was formed using an optimization algorithm so that the harmonic interplay of the voices makes sense at each point. The ductus of the music is meant to be reminiscent of polyphonic Renaissance music, but it counteracts it in that all the boundary conditions of musical form that apply here could hardly be fulfilled by composing by hand. Tempo and phase shifts of the individual voices can also be perceived through the metronome used. It also serves here as a kind of rhythm instrument. The video added to the music shows a rainy street intersection in a distorted way.

Eine Matrix mit zunächst zufällig angeordneten Elementen wird durch einen Optimierer nach und nach in einen Zustand überführt, der eine gewisse Ordnung aufweist. Die sich so stetig verändernde Matrix wird mittels eines Klaviers musikalisch interpretiert. Das der Musik hinzugefügte Video zeigt in verfremdeter Weise einige Blumen, auf die sich Schmetterlinge niederlassen.

A matrix with initially randomly arranged elements is gradually transformed by an optimizer into a state that exhibits a certain order. The thus constantly changing matrix is interpreted musically by means of a piano. The video added to the music shows in an alienated way some flowers on which butterflies settle.

Die Klaviermusik folgt einem musikalischen Modell, das durch einen Optimierungsprozess gewonnen wurde. Das Video zeigt einen kleinen Bergsee in den Schweizer Alpen.
